So I found out that this Sunday would have been Luther Vandross' birthday. Luther was (and still is) my all time favorite male artist. Whenever I hear a Luther song it makes me nostaligic, taking me back to some of the simple memories of my youth.

My mother was a huge Luther Vandross fan and had all of his albums. We lived over 2 hours away from my grandparents and every month or two, my mother, brother and myself would make that drive from Atlanta to Waycross Georgia, in my mother's burgundy Cheverlot Beretta. We would often listen to nothing but Luther Vandross cassettes the entire way down and the entire way coming back. I probably knew the words to every song Luther every sang from start to finish.

So in honor of Luther, in my opinion one of the greatest love ballad artists of our time, I thought I'd share a handfull of a my favorite Luther Vandross songs. Enjoy!
